Jack Russell rescued after falling into slurry at sewage treatment plant

Mylo the dog fell into the slurry at the sewage treatment plant in Grenoble Road. 

In a Facebook post, Oxfordshire Fire Service said: “Today at 3pm Rewley Road Fire Station were mobilised to reports of a dog who had fallen into a slurry lagoon at a Sewage treatment plant on Grenoble Road Oxford.

“Firefighters rushed to the scene and carried out a swift rescue and got Mylo the 18 month old Jack Russell out of the slurry and back with his relieved owner.

“Mylo had managed to get under the fence and fell into the lagoon.

“Firefighter Toby Baker wanted to remind people to be extra careful around water and always call the emergency services if this type of thing happens and don’t put yourself in danger!”
