Heartstopper is ready for its final stop.

After three seasons, the coming-of-age series starring Kit Connor and Joe Locke will end with a Netflix movie, the streaming platform announced April 22.

The film will be based around the yet-unreleased sixth volume of Alice Oseman‘s graphic novels of the same name, which centers around Nick (Connor) and Charlie (Locke) navigating their long-distance relationship after the former heads off to university.

Production on the movie will start this summer, with Still Alice director Wash Westmoreland at the helm and both Connor and Locke serving as executive producers alongside Oseman, Patrick Walters, Iain Canning, Emile Sherman and Euros Lyn, who directed the show’s first two seasons.

“I am completely overjoyed that we will get to tell the end of the Heartstopper story,” Oseman shared in a statement. “I’m so grateful to everyone who has worked hard to make this possible and to the incredible fans of Heartstopper for your patience and passion.”

She added, “I cannot wait to bring this story to a magical conclusion.”
