Bell rolls out $75/175GB Canada/U.S. plan

Bell added a new $75/175GB 5G+ Canada/U.S. plan to its current plan lineup.
The company changed up its plans on April 22, shifting prices to match offers from Rogers. However, at the time, the company only launched $65/100GB Canada-wide and $95/250GB Canada/U.S./Mexico plans and didn’t have a mid-tier plan to split the difference.
That has now changed, with Bell matching Rogers’ $75/175GB plan. Bell’s $75/175GB plan includes 175GB of 5G+ data followed by unlimited usage at throttled speeds of up to 512Kbps. Additionally, the plan includes data, calling, and texting in Canada and the U.S.
Other plan features include video streaming capped at 480p quality (customers can pay $5/mo to increase the streaming quality cap to 1080p), unlimited international texting sent from Canada, and free Crave Basic.
The plan’s price includes a credit for using automatic payments.
Bell’s plan very closely matches Rogers’ plan, though with some notable differences. Rogers caps data speed at up to 1Gbps but includes 1,000 international calling minutes in the plan.
Notably, Telus offers a very similar plan with less data. The company’s $75/150GB Canada/U.S. plan also caps data speed at up to 1Gbps, but only offers international texting like Bell with no international calling minutes.
It remains to be seen if Telus follows suit and adds 25GB of data to its $75 plan to bring it in line with the others.
Bell’s plan is available online and in stores.
